Using the Fax Queue

Overview

The Fax Queue provides you with a convenient workflow to manage incoming faxes efficiently. It is located within a worklist.

Faxes are added to a Fax Queue using one of these methods:

  • Assigning a User or Department manually

  • Using the Pull Fax feature

This user guide focuses on the Fax Queue and its filter capabilities. It also includes column selection and viewing a fax.

When there are incoming faxes that need to be managed in order to engage UM functions.

You can have up to five faxes in your Unprocessed fax queue. You cannot pull additional faxes until some have been processed.

Fax Queue

To access the Fax Queue, select the Faxes tab on the Worklist. The default view shows Unprocessed faxes assigned to the user or department.

\ Available filtering options:

  • Unprocessed: Faxes that are ready to be reviewed and attached to a Request.

  • Processed: Faxes that have already been reviewed and attached to a Request.

  • Archived: Faxes that have not been attached to a Request but removed from the queue, possibly because they are illegible or were sent in error.

To filter, click on a tab.

Columns

The default columns are:

  • File Name

  • Incoming Date

  • Sending Fax Number

  • Receiving Fax Number

  • File Size

  • Type

  • Department

To remove a column, click on the grid icon and click to uncheck the column. To add the column back, click on the grid and click to check the column.

Viewing a Fax

To view a fax, click on the file name. The fax opens in another window.
