Pulling Requests

Overview

You can pull requests from your department queues into your own worklist.

Requests are pulled based on department ranks Requests from the highest ranked department are prioritized and processed first until that department’s queue is empty. The secondary ranking is the request’s due date and turnaround time (TAT). If any requests within the department queue are escalated, these are pulled first regardless of the above rules.

* Access to Utilization Management * Permission to pull requests from worklists

When your own request worklist is empty, and you need to work on the next highest priority requests owned by your departments.

* You are not able to pull requests into your worklist if you have **five** or more requests already assigned to you. Requests can still be assigned to you via other workflows. It is just the pull queue capability that is not available. * Pulling a single request into your queue guarantees you are working on the highest priority request available to you. * Pull request respects data permissions. If you do not have data permission to a person whose request is in one of your department queues, the request is not assigned to you even if it is the next in line to be worked. * If you pull more than one request or already have requests in your worklist, remember to prioritize based on the work in your list not the order that they were pulled from the department queue.
