* Access to Care Management * Permission to reassign tasks
When you have a situation where you need to move a large number of tasks from one owner to another.
* Use bulk department reassignment when a specific user owner is unnecessary, because the user owner is removed in this process. If only the department needs to be changed and the user owner remains the same, consider moving tasks individually. * Tasks can be reassigned (and owned) by individuals who are not in a department.
Accessing Bulk Task Assignment
Bulk reassignment is available on any worklist, whether it's your own, another user's, or a department's.
Click the checkbox in the left-most column next to each task to be reassigned.
To select all tasks displayed on the current page, click the checkbox on the header row.
After selecting some tasks, Reassign entry boxes display. You can enter either a department or another user. If you provide a department, all selected tasks are reassigned to that department and the user owner is removed. If you provide a user owner, all selected tasks are reassigned to that user and the department is unchanged.
Enter a department or user using the guidance above.
Click **Apply.**
_(Alternate)_ Click **Cancel** to discard the changes and de-select all tasks.
**Power User Tips*** If you've selected a few tasks and then discovered they're not the ones you need, simply click the Cancel button to unselect them. Alternatively, you can click the 'select all' checkmark twice—once to select all, and again to deselect everything. * You can select more than the 13 tasks on display, just navigate to another page and continue making selections. You will see the count increase. * Do not change the filters while the Reassign entry fields are on display.
