When there is a error in data entry or some other need to void the information entered.

Voiding a Single Cost Savings Entry

You can void individual cost savings entries in the Original Costs and Actual Costs portions of the Cost Saving.

From the Cost Saving page, find the line item you want to void, and then click the **Void**

icon.

Select the appropriate **Void reason** from the drop-down menu.

This list is configurable by your organization.

Click the **Void Cost** button to to complete the void process and return to the Cost Saving screen.

Clicking Cancel or the X icon will return you to the Cost Saving screen without voiding your entry.

A cost saving cannot have an **Actual Cost** entered without having an **Original Cost**. If an Actual Cost has been entered, you must confirm that an additional Original Cost line exists before attempting to void the Original Cost. Please review [adding-a-cost-savings-entry.md](adding-a-cost-savings-entry.md "mention") for instruction on how to add an Original Cost. You will encounter an error if you attempt to void the Original Cost before confirming a replacement exists. You will also be unable to complete the void action.

Voiding an Entire Cost Savings Entry

Click the **Void Cost Saving** button to to complete the void process and return to the Cost Saving screen.
