Decisioning an Appeal using Bulk Functionality

Overview

Bulk Functionality refers to a capability in the system that allows users to decision multiple Appeals Service lines at once, rather than handling each Appeals Service line individually. This feature is typically used to save time and increase efficiency when dealing with large volumes of data.

This User Guide walks you through the steps of Decisioning an Appeal with multiple Service lines.

* Access to Utilization Management * Permission to edit requests * Permission to decision an appeal

When there are multiple Appealed Service lines, the Appealed Service lines will be getting the same Outcome, and the Appealed Service lines will be Approved or Denied.

* Ensure Initial Review is complete * Ensure Information and Documentation are sufficient * Ensure any specialized reviews are complete

Decisioning an Appeal using Bulk Functionality

Start from the request view

Go to the **Services** section.

Review the Initial, Outcome and Appeal.

If decisioning all Service lines to the same status and the status will be Approve, Deny, or Pend, use the one of the Bulk options.
